1. Who we are

DoomRoll is a watchOS-only app developed by danbely (sole developer, EU/Poland).

2. Summary

DoomRoll does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data, with one narrow exception: purchases. The app's in-app purchases are processed through RevenueCat, a purchases infrastructure provider. When the app starts or comes back to the screen after a while, when you buy or restore, when the App Store reports a change to a purchase (a refund, or Family Sharing), and when it fetches its own configuration, the app's purchase client sends RevenueCat an anonymous, app-generated identifier, your purchase history for this app, and the technical details any app request carries: your watch model, watchOS and app version, language and storefront region, a per-vendor device identifier (IDFV), and your IP address. Nothing you type or roll is part of it. Outside of the purchase system the app makes no outbound network connections. There is no backend server of ours, no user account, no advertising, no analytics SDK beyond RevenueCat's purchase records, and no third-party trackers.

3. What stays on your device

The app stores the following information locally on your Apple Watch only, in a shared app-group container. It is shared with exactly one other process: DoomRoll's own watch-face complication, which reads it and writes the dice it rolls from the face (watchOS 11 and later). No other app can read it, and nothing in it leaves the watch.

These items are encrypted at rest by Apple's Data Protection (the standard watchOS encryption for app sandbox data).

If you have iCloud Backup enabled in your Apple ID, these local files are included in your encrypted iCloud Backup — exactly as you'd expect for any app's user-supplied content. We don't control or have access to that backup; only Apple does, and only to deliver it back to you on a new device.

3a. Complications and your watch face

DoomRoll can show your last result on the watch face. A watch face is visible to anyone who can see your wrist, so a preset name shown there — "Wheel: Alex" — is the one way information you typed can be read by someone else.

Because of that, hiding names is the default: the complication shows "Wheel: ●●●" until you turn on Settings → Privacy → Names on watch face. Other modes are unaffected — a coin, a die or a yes/no answer says nothing about anyone. The setting changes what is drawn immediately, and turning it off removes names from the face right away.

4. What we never do

5. Permissions we request

That's the only permission. We don't request location, contacts, photos, health data, or any other sensitive scope.

Two things that look like permissions but aren't. Dictation: when you add names to a preset you type into a standard system text field, and if you dictate instead, the microphone is opened and handled by watchOS — the app receives only the finished text. Siri: DoomRoll offers three voice shortcuts ("flip a coin with DoomRoll", and similar). Siri does the listening; the app is handed a request and returns a spoken answer. In neither case does DoomRoll access the microphone or receive audio.

6. In-app purchases

DoomRoll offers three one-time, non-consumable in-app purchases — the Boardgames Pack, the Extended Pack, and the Full Pack that contains both. There is no subscription. Payment itself is handled by Apple; we never see your payment information. Purchase management is handled by RevenueCat, acting as our processor: it receives a random, app-generated identifier (not your name, email, or Apple ID) together with the purchase records for this app, uses them to tell the app which packs are unlocked and to show us aggregate sales statistics, and does not sell or share them. All three packs support Family Sharing, which means Apple — not us — decides which members of your family group are entitled; we are told only yes or no.

You can restore previous purchases at any time with Settings → Restore purchases, or with the Restore button on the unlock screen. After reinstalling DoomRoll, or on a new watch, do this once: a new installation starts as a new anonymous customer, so it doesn't know your packs until you restore. We don't keep a copy of your receipt; RevenueCat re-derives your entitlements from the App Store record.

7. Children

DoomRoll is rated 4+ and contains no objectionable content. We collect no personal data about anyone, including children under 13 / 16 (depending on jurisdiction), and the app makes no attempt to identify the user; the only data path out of the watch is the anonymous purchase record described in section 6. If you believe a child's data has somehow ended up in our hands, contact us and we'll investigate.

8. Your rights (GDPR / EU)

Because we collect no personal data beyond the anonymous purchase record, most GDPR data-subject rights have no targets. To exercise the rights we can help with:

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (UODO in Poland; equivalents in other EU member states).

9. Changes

We may update this policy when the app's behaviour changes (e.g. if a future version adds an opt-in cloud-sync feature). When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and notify users via the next App Store update's release notes. Your continued use of the app after a change indicates acceptance.
